Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do you only cover Hertfordshire and Essex?
IT support and on-site work centre on Hertfordshire, Essex and North London. Security, compliance and web work are delivered across the UK.
Can you take over from our current IT provider?
Yes. We audit what you have, document it, and move you across with no loss of service.
What does managed IT cost?
Per user, per month, tailored to your headcount and systems after a short audit. You get fixed, predictable pricing.
Can you help us pass Cyber Essentials?
Yes, we prepare you and certify you, and we can do the underlying security work too.
Do you really build websites as well as run IT?
Yes. We build modern sites and web apps and host and maintain them ourselves, which is unusual for an IT company and is the point.
How quickly do you respond to issues?
Within our standard support SLA, with proactive monitoring that often catches problems before you report them.
Do you provide phone systems?
Yes, cloud phone systems and VoIP including 3CX and Microsoft Teams Phone, keeping your existing numbers.
What happens to our data if disaster strikes?
Automated, tested, off-site backups and a documented recovery plan get you trading again quickly.
Are we tied into a long contract?
No. We earn the work each month rather than locking you in. Managed IT runs on a rolling basis with a sensible notice period, and project work is quoted and agreed up front. If we are not doing a good job, you are free to leave.
Can you build us an app as well as a website?
Yes. We build custom web apps and mobile apps, not just brochure sites. A recent example is an offline survey app for a construction firm that captures inspections on site and syncs them back to the office. If it runs in a browser or on a phone, we can build it.
Do you support remote and hybrid teams?
Yes, that is most of our work now. We set up Microsoft 365, secure remote access and cloud phones so your team works the same way at home, in the office or on site. Support is remote first, so help does not depend on someone driving out to you.
Will moving to a cloud phone system keep our existing numbers?
Yes. We port your existing numbers across, so customers carry on calling the same number. We map your call routing first, who rings and what happens out of hours, then make the switch with no gap. Adding a new starter afterwards takes a couple of clicks.
Do you host the websites you build, or hand them over?
We host and maintain them ourselves. The same team that runs your IT looks after your site, so it stays fast and secure and there are no agency handovers. The content, the code and the hosting are all in your name, so you are never locked in.
How do you price managed IT?
Per user, per month, after a short audit of your headcount and systems. The price is fixed and predictable, with support, security and backup included rather than billed by the hour. You know what you are paying before you commit.
Do you help with cyber insurance requirements?
Yes. Insurers increasingly ask for multi-factor authentication, tested backups, endpoint protection and often Cyber Essentials before they will quote. We put those controls in place and give you the evidence to answer the questions honestly, which usually helps your premium too.
What happens after we get in touch?
One of us, usually Dan, calls you back for a short, no-obligation chat about what is slowing you down. If it makes sense to go further, we audit what you have and come back with a clear plan and fixed pricing. No pressure and no sales script.
